Goals: 1. Determine the incidence of 5 and 10 year risk factors for chronic diseases in adult Yazd 2. Determine the incidence of 5 and 10 years of the consequences of chronic diseases
Study population: This study is a longitudinal cohort study in which all population over 35 years old will participate in the Shahedieh district of Yazd.
Sampling method and sample size: All people who are 30 years old and older will be included in the study. 10000 people who were between 35-70 years old were recruited.
Data Collection: At the beginning of the call to residents of the area, people over the age of 30 will be referred to the location indicated on the basis of a plan previously provided by the research team. All coordinations should be done with the participants for examination, the samples to be taken and the necessary training. The variables studied were age, sex, lipid profiles, fasting blood glucose, HbA1C, OGTT, armpit index, myocardial infarction, stroke, liver tests, thyroid tests, complete blood count (CBC), uric acid Diet, some lifestyle features, and demographic characteristics of individuals.
Follow up Methods: The first step in tracking people who are in contact with someone who has a telephone call is 12-month phone calls. Any death, hospitalization, chronic illness or migratory incidence is recorded in the near future. The data connection of the center with the information of the clinics and registration centers, such as heart attack and cerebral infections, is also done every month. In-person visits to families in which they died occurred within 30 days of the event.
